Students from all over the country arrived in Bangkok to receive their awards for coming Top in Thailand in the IGCSE exams taken in June 2015.
We are proud to include Jun Beom Chi and Arjit Verma in that list of Top students in Thailand!
Jun Beom, his mother and Ms Clifton all made the journey up to take part in the ceremony.
Sadly as Arjit is currently studying in India he was unable to return for the occasion. If he had he would have been tired due to needing to go on stage and shake hands three times for his three awards- Coordinated Science, Geography and World Literature.
Jun Beom on the other hand grabbed the opportunity with both hands to dress up with a cool suit jacket and some dapper shoes, shake hands with Dr Ben Schmidt, Regional Director for CIE, pose for the cameras and receive his award for Music!
After the presentations, all were able to enjoy some more lovely canapes, chit chat with the elite and take a stroll by the Chao Praya river before braving the Bangkok traffic once more for the return journey to our slice of heaven in sunny Ban Chang.
We are very pleased to announce that 2 of our students who sat IGCSEs in June 2015 have won special awards from Cambridge International Examinations, the organisation that awards the IGCSE worldwide.
This is to recognise that they not only got A* in a particular subject but actually they got the very top score in that subject when compared with all the other entries in Thailand. An amazing achievement!
Arjit Verma has been awarded the Top in Thailand Award for an amazing 3 subjects:
IGCSE World Literature
IGCSE Co-ordinated Science
Jun Beom Chi has been awarded the Top in Thailand Award for IGCSE Music
Arjit and Jun Beom have been invited to receive their awards at a special ceremony in Bangkok later this month, along with the winners from other schools throughout Thailand.
